Senior Network Engineer

- Design, build, and rollout large-scale global DWDM networks
- Drive scalable network designs to meet growing customer demands
- Develop and implement processes to operate and build the optical network
- Collaborate closely with multiple networking teams across the organisation
- Evaluate new optical products and lead commercial tender processes
- Ensure network adherence to defined standards and review system changes
- Lead operational excellence projects to enhance network quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and develop innovative solutions daily
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7+ years industry experience in optical networks and IP networking
- Hands-on experience with DWDM network planning, modelling, and rollout
- Strong expertise in IP networking fundamentals and protocols
- Deep knowledge of major DWDM platforms such as Ciena, Infinera, and Cisco
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers, including supervisory and line cards
- Solid understanding of internet routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF
- Excellent network analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with protocols and technologies including DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, VLANs/STP, IPv4/IPv6, TCP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC/VPNs, Netflow, DNS, HTTP
