- Commercial analysis: Apply your commercial acumen and analytical skills across a range of applications to help Mainstream excel in an industry impacted by BESS, WACC, grid regulation and build out, and price volatility (to name but a few). In particular, you will understand and be able to reflect regulatory environments in commercial modelling and analysis.
- Portfolio modelling: Model, monitor, and assess Mainstream’s portfolio strategy with reference to risk & reward trade-offs and trends in the renewables industry. Stay abreast of market developments that could impact the portfolio, providing insights and strategies to mitigate risks.
- Auction strategy: Help to establish best practice in auction analysis and execution including validating key bidding assumptions and procuring realised price forecasts for Mainstream projects.
- Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and development functions within the wider Mainstream group and co-ordinate regular knowledge sharing. Collaborate with other functions within the central and regional teams on a frequent basis.
- A minimum of 2 years’ direct experience in the renewables industry, with a preference for offshore wind.
- Experience participating in renewable energy auctions and public tenders for renewable power.
- Proficiency in excel modelling, portfolio management fundamentals, and validating assumptions for auction strategies.
- Advanced degree, preferably with a focus in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- Experience in working with multicultural teams and across functional structure as a strong team player that thrives in a challenging, dynamic environment and can manage across multiple projects.
- Strong critical and analytical reasoning, fluency in English and excellent written and oral communications skills.
