- Provide technical assistance and guidance to contractors on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction activities to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to maintain project schedule and quality.
- Implement quality control procedures to monitor workmanship, materials, and equipment on site, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers, to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Promote a culture of safety on site by adhering to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the Site Manager and project team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in construction or engineering, preferably in the railway or infrastructure sector, is desirable but not essential. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and propose practical solutions to overcome challenges on site.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, work environments, and project requirements as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required as the role may involve travel to various project sites across Ireland
