An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join a Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), supporting young people and families within a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting.We are seeking applications from Staff Grade or Senior Social Workers for a part-time position (0.5 WTE, 2.5 days per week) based in Offaly, with the option to work full-time (1.0 WTE) across Offaly and Laois by covering two part-time roles.Location:
  • Offaly (2.5 days per week)
  • Option to extend to Laois (additional 2.5 days)
Contract:
  • Initial 3-month contract (with potential for extension)
Salary:
  • €50,000 – €80,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)
Working Pattern:
  • 0.5 WTE (Offaly only)
  • 1.0 WTE (Offaly and Laois)
Essential Qualifications
  • Recognised professional Social Work qualification
  • Registration with CORU
  • Previous experience in a similar setting is highly desirable
Key RequirementsThe successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Experience working with children and young people presenting with mental health difficulties and developmental conditions
  • Strong skills in assessment of young people and family systems
  • Experience delivering evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice relating to children and young people
