The Shearwater Hotel & Spa is a stunning four-star hotel situated just 35 minutes from Galway City, which offers immediate relaxation for couples, families and business guests. Due to our continued growth we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Gym/Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic and friendly leisure team in our brand-new premium State of the art gym, “Shear Fitness”Main Duties include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate the correct way to use exercise equipment to members
Monitor the misuse and maintenance of gym equipment
Ensure the gym is clean and free of health and safety hazards
Deliver exercise classes and workshops
Develop personal exercise plans for members
Monitor clients progress and adapt programs as needed.
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the gym and pool are maintained to a high standard at all times.
Carry out pool testing and other facility checks
Deal with customers in regard to the sale of goods and services through the till system
Ensure that all customer, member and clients personal information remain strictly confidential at all times
Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant Gym/Training qualification is an advantage.
Possess strong knowledge of fitness and exercise including exercise types.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, muscles and movement.
Proven exemplary guest service skills.
Strong and varied knowledge of gym and pool equipment
Knowledge of Point of Sale systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
