We will build the best partnerships with our principles and customers, and we will continue to drive a values-based culture.What Do We WantAs the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational strategy for our white goods division across multiple sites. This role is dynamic, encompassing leadership in P&L ownership, operational efficiency and ensuring seamless deliveries to trade and home delivery customers, all while implementing lean methodologies.Operational Leadership:Lead and mentor a cross-functional operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.Lean Methodologies:Implement and champion lean methodologies to optimise processes and eliminate waste throughout the supply chain.Monitor and improve transport synergies within the supply chain, by ensuring full driver utilisation and efficient routing.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.KPI Management:Define, monitor, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed established KPI targets.You will be able to provide up to date information and communicate to the highest level internally and externally, whilst ensuring that all service levels are met and where possible exceeded.Trade and Home Deliveries:Oversee the delivery operations for both trade and home delivery customers, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment, OTIF.Collaborate with logistics partners and internal teams to optimise delivery routes and reduce lead times.Deliver within agreed lead times/ SLAs.Stock Management:Full stock management control. Implementation of regular cycle counting, ownership of customers goods and accurate reporting of same.Documenting and implementation of processes in line with customers’ requirements.Compliance and Safety:You will lead by example, you will actively promote and foster a culture where health & safety, hygiene, quality, and customer service are of the highest priority.Customer Centric:Build good customers relations and work with the mindset of ‘Win-Win’.Form a strong partnership with customers like no other, ensure trust in the relationship and be someone who takes the problem away from the customer.Ensure regular KPIs meetings are being held and QBRs.We would like you to be flexible and able to conduct any ad-hoc duties that may be required in your role.You should have the ability to work well under pressure and be able to work at a consistent pace.You will be a people person, and a good communicator both verbally and written.You will be very organised in your approach, and you will be an analytical thinker.You will have a “can do” attitude.What Will Your Day to Day Look Like; -You will measure and report the effectiveness of the department activities.You will communicate key metrics to principles.You will analyse the operation.You will complete daily operational audits.You will ensure all operational functions and process are completed in accordance with company policy and statutory legislation.You will drive development & mobilise standardised training and skills improvement within the supply chain.You will conduct daily shift meetings with staff, communicating shift expectations, company updates and any improvements required.You will supervise, manage, and assist in daily Warehouse and Transport operations ensuring all staff are operating to the required standards and rates.You will ensure accuracy of consignments and supporting documentation across all client accounts.You will maximise warehouse storage capacity. Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and team members and equipment performance.You will drive compliance with health & safety and the reduction in loss time accidents.You will control and manage absence within contractual levels.You will pride yourself on people development incorporating the completion of reviews budgetary responsibility with scope of functional accountability.You will ensure warehouse labour and associated productivity targets maximize warehouse utilization and associated operational space.You will ensure stock maintained through the completion of inventory checks and audits.What Skills Do You Need for This RoleYou need to be hard working & flexible.You will have strong IT skills.You have great attention to detail.You will be enthusiastic & energetic.You are a fast learner.You are calm under pressure.You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar roleYou have overall, knowledge of supply chain with associated qualification.You have excellent IT skills, SAP experience desirable.You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)You have strong leadership and people skills.You are strong with data analytics.
