Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required for trials and project needs)Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Science & Innovation Manager to lead innovation initiatives and oversee the successful delivery of strategic projects across the organisation.This senior leadership role combines forward-thinking innovation with strong commercial and operational execution. You will work cross-functionally to ensure innovative concepts are aligned with business objectives and successfully brought from concept through to implementation.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage customer-focused innovation teams and projects from concept to launch, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Develop and execute strategic innovation plans to drive business growth and process improvement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of innovation specialists and project managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for product, service, and process development.
  • Oversee the development, validation, and implementation of new products and operational improvements.
  • Monitor progress of innovation initiatives and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Promote and embed a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners including suppliers, industry experts, and academic institutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards at all times.

Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Innovation Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in innovation management, strategic planning, and project leadership within the food or FMCG sector.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and large-scale cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, product development, and strategic implementation.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement.
