You will spend the majority of your time gathering relevant claim information from customers, adjusting claim submissions in line with policy cover and informing customers of settlement outcomes.You will be desk based, working in a team with other Property Claims colleagues in our Galway office. You will have strong analytical, communication and organisation skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Desktop Property Claims Adjuster, you will oversee household desktop claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring a customer-focused experience throughout the process. With knowledge in property insurance, you will engage effectively with customers and third parties, providing clear communication and promptly addressing enquiries.
  • Utilizing your negotiation skills, you will aim for optimal outcomes in claims settlements, while providing excellent customer service.
  • Preparing and delivering case decisions and solutions to the customer, in line with agreed processes at designated level authority, to meet business objectives and the customer proposition.
  • This role requires excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner, escalating to more senior and/or qualified colleagues as necessary in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to less experienced colleagues to develop knowledge and understanding of desktop claims adjusting best practice.

Requirements:
  • APA qualified (required)
  • CIP qualified (desired but not essential)
  • +3 years property claims handling experience
  • +2 years desktop claims handling experience (required)
