Catering and Domestic Assistant

• You will be required to work as part of a team and take instruction.

• You will have the required ability to work in the catering and cleaning departments at ward level.
• You will be required to assist in delivering meals to patients.

• Sets up, assembles and serves food for patients and special function in a timely manner.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and floors using appropriate solutions and techniques.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure that all the necessary information is being recorded accurately and efficiently.
• Observes infection control and HACCP policies in food handling storage, wearing gloves and proper protective equipment.
• Communicate with patients in a friendly manner to take care of their dietary needs, and any specific catering requirements they may have.
• Deliver professional standards of service, working together with your colleagues as part of the catering team.

• Previous experience working as a catering assistant and/or cleaner preferably in a healthcare setting
• Manual Handling & HACCP Level 2 training will be required, and can be supplied at registration.
• Visa or GNIB (if applicable)
• International Police Clearance (if lived abroad 6+ months)

• Be available to work part time or full time hours, which may include days, evenings & weekends.

• Starting at €16.99 per hour + premium shift allowance
