Oradeo Recruitment are seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to join a leading contractor in Dublin. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, providing expert guidance on risk reduction, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.Senior EHS Advisor Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company procedures
  • Develop, review, and update risk assessments and method statements to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports with corrective actions
  • Ensure all safety signage, PPE, and emergency procedures are in place and adhered to
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement and monitor Construction Health & Safety Plans
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation
  • Support environmental initiatives, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability measures
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspections, permits, incident logs, and audit reports
  • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities during site inspections
  • Provide proactive advice on improving safety performance and mitigating risk
  • Manage and support junior EHS team members, including graduates and trainees
  • Oversee EHS activities across multiple sites and manage workload effectively
  • Support digital safety systems and provide training to site teams
  • Assist with ISO audit preparation and compliance requirements
  • Participate in senior management meetings and client-facing discussions
  • Contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives, including tenders and pre-qualifications
  • Undertake additional training such as Working at Heights and Fire Awareness instruction
Necessary Skills & Requirements:
  • Level 8 qualification or higher in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in an EHS role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard identification
  • Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety performance reporting
  • Familiarity with management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification is advantageous
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
