BMS Engineer – Hyperscale Data Centre – DublinJoin a leading international main contractor delivering state-of-the-art data centres and mission-critical facilities across Europe. This is your chance to play a key role in one of Dublin’s most advanced hyperscale projects, working on cutting-edge Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for some of the world’s largest technology clients.As BMS Engineer, you will take full ownership of BMS and EPMS delivery, from design coordination and installation to commissioning and final handover. You will manage the Specialist Systems Integrator (SI) and oversee all technical aspects, ensuring seamless integration between CSA, MEP, and client teams.This position is central to the project’s success, reporting directly to the Project MEP Lead. You will ensure all BMS and EPMS systems are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and meet the client’s performance and quality requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the Specialist Systems Integrator (SI) and installing contractors from pre-construction through to final handover.
  • Provide technical leadership for the design, installation, commissioning, and validation of BMS and EPMS systems.
  • Collaborate with CSA and M&E teams to ensure full automation system integration with other building services.
  • Monitor and enforce Health & Safety compliance and quality control measures on-site.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, commissioning agents, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during the commissioning and testing phases.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed performance expectations.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative, solutions-driven environment.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience managing BMS and EPMS works on large-scale projects, ideally data centres or mission-critical facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of BMS technologies, communication protocols, and industry standards.
  • Strong interdisciplinary understanding of mechanical, electrical, and CSA coordination.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with BMS software platforms and programming tools.
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Project management experience is advantageous.
