Job Title: Financial AccountantLocation: Dublin. Onsite 4 days per week
Reports to: Chief Financial OfficerRole OverviewProVerum is an early-stage company developing an innovative medical device technology to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is an enlargement of the prostate gland causing significant discomfort and affects more than 50 percent of men over 50 years of age. The standard of care involves invasive, difficult surgical procedures and medications, which are widely viewed as ineffective. Many patients are left waiting for symptoms to deteriorate before intervention can be justified.We are seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant who will be comfortable operating in a small, fast-growing, regulated environment, balancing day-to-day finance activities with the ability to shape and improve processes as the business scales.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and insightful commentary.Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and robust reconciliations.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.Conduct product cost analysis.Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.Assist with cashflow reporting and forecasting.Support working capital management, including receivables, payables and inventory.Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls.Support statutory audit processes and external reporting requirements and respond to information requests.Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filings.Oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliations valuations.Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.Collaborate with operations team.Support ad-hoc projects and business initiatives as required.The PersonFully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with 3 years’ pqe in industry.Experience within manufacturing or operations finance.Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive mindset.Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced SME environment.Solid understanding of inventory management, margins and cost control.Willingness to learn, take ownership and develop within the role.Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.Why Join Us?Opportunity to develop technical expertise and operational awareness and experience within the medical devices sector.Broad role with real ownership and impact.Close partnership with the team and exposure to many areas of the organisation.Collaborative and purpose-driven working environment.Please send us your CV to
