You'll be responsible for responding to equipment breakdowns, carrying out preventative and condition based maintenance, and ensuring production machinery runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands on role requiring strong electro mechanical skills and the ability to work proactively in a fast paced setting.Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative and condition based maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC controlled equipment.
- Log work and update records on the CMMS system.
- Monitor equipment performance and address issues promptly.
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and optimise output.
- Assist with installations, upgrades, and new equipment commissioning.
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and workshop organisation.
- Liaise with contractors and collaborate with suppliers when required.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians or apprentices.
- Relevant mechanical, electrical, or multi skilled trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong fault finding and problem solving abilities.
- Experience with automated, high speed machinery and PLC systems.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance and CMMS tools.
- Strong awareness of quality, food safety, and health & safety requirements.
