LOCATION: Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, X91 T638, Co Kilkenny Salary: 34000 Annually Weely Hours: 39 Mooncoin Residential Care Centre is looking for talented Comi Chef to work with our Clinical team for the benefit of the Resident's here. This is an exciting and fulfilling role for the right candidate. The Chef will assist in the provision of high-quality meals, ensuring a person-centred service for the residents. As a Healthcare Comi Chef, your job is crucial in making sure residents enjoy delicious and healthy meals, treats and home baking. The successful applicant will report to the Director of Nursing and be responsible for assisting with the co-ordination of the day-to-day operations of our Kitchen. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that the highest standard of food quality, nutrition, presentation and service are achieved and always maintained Ensure regular monitoring of menus for variety and seasonal reflection and to provide innovative ideas for menu planning to meet residents' dietary requirements and personal taste. Have experience and knowledge in relation to modified diets (Training will be provided) Motivate team to deliver excellence in customer service Implement and manage the HACCP program for this centre Maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety in respect of premises, staff and food handling by ensuring that all staff members attend the company hygiene and safety training REQUIREMENTS Qualification or experience in a previous Comi chef role Knowledge of healthcare environments as a comi chef or in provision of direct care and swallow issues A passion for service and quality, and a willingness to have this driven by resident's needs and expectations. Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative Professionalism and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business, and to play a key role within the clinical team on dietary management, (Training will be provided) Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP Experience working in a Nursing Home or Healthcare Environment is desirable but not essential WHO WE ARE Mooncoin Residential Care Centre is a family-owned Nursing Home, in south Co Kilkenny and has been based in the community of Mooncoin since 2004.
