As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high quality solutions, including both in-house developed applications as well as integrated third-party products. You will work closely with our stakeholders on operational requests as well as projects.About the role:
  • Application Development: Leverage your strong programming skills to contribute to design and implementation of new application components and maintenance of existing solutions.
  • Operational support: Develop a sound understanding of critical phases of our business processes. Investigate and resolve findings in an efficient and timely manner with focus on long-term solutions.
  • Communication and collaboration: Build strong relationships to our business stakeholders and within the IT community. Communicate effectively on technical concepts to ensure delivery is in line with the requirements. High collaboration skills are a must.
  • System Testing and Documentation: Perform unit testing to ensure delivery of fully functional, robust and performant solutions. Maintain documentation and follow the company’s change management process.
QualificationsAbout you:Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, C#, Python and Angular
  • Strong experience in website and web API development
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Data Virtuality is a plus
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices
  • Understanding of the reinsurance industry and actuarial processes is a plus
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to effectively work in a collaborative, international and cross-location team
  • Ability to own tasks, prioritize work, multi-task, and work independently with remote supervision
Work Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in English is a must (Written and verbal communication)
Education:
  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
