As a Finance Analyst, you will report directly to the CFO and take the lead in managing financial controls for a growing project portfolio. You'll spend your time collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting financial decision-making, and ensuring robust project reporting. This is a vital, hands-on position-where your insights will shape both short and long-term business outcomes.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and maintain project budgets and cost plans
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Support project cash flow forecasting, valuation processes, and final accounts
- Contribute to monthly reporting, including cost control, WIP, P&L, and margin analysis
- Engage with teams on contract terms, claims, and commercial reviews
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
- Deliver actionable financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Proven finance experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project-based roles (2-6 years)
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central, SAP, Oracle)
- Experience working alongside Quantity Surveyors or on project finance reporting
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar); or equivalent project/commercial finance exposure
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
