Derrycourt specialises in a range of customised service offerings.Position Title: Site Operations Manager (Acute Hospital)Reports To: Soft Services ManagerContract: Full TimeLocation: Dublin CityDepartment: Healthcare - OperationsRole PurposeThe Site Operations Manager has full responsibility for day-to-day service delivery and people management across the hospital site. This role ensures that all services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required healthcare standards, in line with SLAs and KPIs, under the strategic direction of the Soft Services Manager.This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring strong planning, workforce coordination and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously in a live hospital environment.Direct Reports: Site Supervisors, Team Leaders, Cleaning & Support OperativesKey AccountabilitiesOperational Delivery
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of all on-site services, including cleaning, waste, window cleaning, facilities support and event/room moves.
  • Ensure services are delivered consistently to SLA and KPI standards, addressing issues proactively.
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly rosters, work plans and resource allocation across a large workforce.
People Management
  • Directly manage Site Supervisors and operational teams, ensuring strong performance, engagement and accountability.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, inductions, training and performance management for site staff.
  • Manage attendance, disciplinary processes, investigations and employee relations matters in line with company policy.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, safety and teamwork.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all staff comply with HIQA, JCI, IPC, health & safety and hospital policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and hygiene audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, timesheets, training records and compliance documentation.
Planning & Coordination
  • Plan and coordinate additional works, events, room moves and ad-hoc service requests.
  • Liaise daily with hospital stakeholders to manage changing priorities in a dynamic acute care environment.
  • Escalate risks, issues and resourcing challenges appropriately to the Soft Services Manager.
Experience/Skills Pre-requisites (Minimum Requirements)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in people management and service delivery.
  • Background in cleaning or soft services strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare experience advantageous but not essential; understanding of HIQA and JCI standards is required.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English essential.
  • Comfortable using operational systems, rosters and reporting tools.
