- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for commercial projects.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost planning to ensure accurate project costing.
- Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, including subcontractor and supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and adherence to procurement policies.
- Administer and manage construction contracts, reviewing terms and conditions, assessing variations and claims, and ensuring contractual compliance.
- Monitor project costs, analyse expenditure, and implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Collaborate closely with the design and construction teams to identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors and other team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and resolution of any commercial issues.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing project finances.
- Must have at least 3 years experience ideally with main contractor .
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- Full EU Driving License
