- Finance Duties:
- Handle day-to-day accounting and processing using the finance system.
- Manage accounts payable and record income and expenditure.
- Prepare bank account reconciliations and other key account reconciliations.
- Perform tax clearance checks and creditor reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll, Revenue returns, and preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register and support End of Year Accounting requirements.
- Assist with audits and keep policies and procedures up to date.
- Procurement Duties:
- Assist with procurement processes and documentation.
- Review procurement documentation and maintain the contract register.
- General Duties:
- Prepare financial reports and respond to queries.
- Undertake any other duties relevant to the grade.
- Essential Requirements:
- Accounting Technician or Recognised Accounting qualification, or part qualified accountant.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Leaving Certificate.
- 2-3 years' relevant experience in a finance role.
- Excellent interpersonal, management, planning, and organisation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Adobe.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of Thrive Accounting or similar accounting system.
- Knowledge of public procurement and contract management.
- Procurement training.
- Experience in the public sector or reporting to the public sector.
