- Responsibilities will include managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of projects, predominantly in the energy/utilities sector.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project and business requirements, with a strong technical ability to understand and digest technical information.
- Identifying and managing internal and external project Stakeholders, ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels;
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders across all project stages;
- Ability to analyse issues, exercising judgement to make decisions and drive delivery of large infrastructure projects;
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including Risk Register, Issue Register, Daily Log, Project schedules, Project Budgets and Governance approvals;
- Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality risk and other performance indicators.
- Preparing and updating formal project progress reports such as monthly reports including financial, budget and project schedule reporting;
- Reporting and presenting on project delivery to Senior Management Team and Board Executives.
- Leading and motivating project team members to ensure a sense of team and a clear understanding of goals and objectives;
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment;
- Demonstrate enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects and programmes of work.
- You will have 15+ years relevant experience preferably with a construction / energy / engineering background.
- Power system industry expertise, utilities / construction experience along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands;
- Knowledge of the industry, environment and context, experience working within a similar regulated utility environment;
- Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
- Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation;
- Excellent organisational and communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Commercial awareness.
- Recognised accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification.
