The Role: As a Regional Quality & Governance Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of quality and governance initiatives across the Sonas Nursing Home Group. Working closely with Persons in Charge (PICs) and the wider management team, you will ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, drive continuous improvement, and promote a culture of learning and person-centred care.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support PICs in maintaining high standards of care and compliance
  • Implement quality assurance systems, audits, and improvement plans
  • Act as subject matter expert on governance, compliance, and regulatory updates
  • Conduct audits across homes, provide feedback, and oversee corrective actions
  • Review and implement policies and procedures across the group
  • Mentor PICs and staff in clinical governance and compliance best practices
  • Monitor safeguarding, incident reporting, risk registers, and complaints
  • Prepare quality and compliance reports for the Executive Team and Board
  • Contribute to strategic planning and service excellence initiatives
Essential Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current NMBI registration
  • Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality improvement, or clinical governance
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a healthcare quality, governance, or compliance role
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and person-centred care frameworks
  • Experience in auditing, risk management, and compliance reporting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Full Irish driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
  • Qualification in auditing or risk management
