Support and facilitate service developments and initiatives to ensure that the service can respond to individual current and future choices and requirements .Lead the planning, development and implementation of the Day Opportunities service to ensure effective systems for accessing supports and opportunities, individualised planning in partnership with individuals, advocacy development and access to community-based opportunities.To ensure that services are appropriately planned, delivered and evaluated and that operational policies, procedures and protocols are being adhered toEnsure all relevant records and documentation are kept appropriately and up to date in relation to service users and staff in particular ensuring compliance with record keeping in line with legislation and HIQA requirements.Produce service plans and service development proposals. Provide statistical or other information/reports as may be required by General Manager. Actively participate in the setting of team and organisational goals.Contribute to the planning and implementation of information systems.Liaise closely with HSE disability and primary care teams, therapy teams and other key organisations in the CHO5 region in the course of ensuring the delivery of a person-centred serviceParticipate in and conduct audits in line with Cumas requirements, and take responsibility for implementing the corrective action programme with regular reporting to the General Manageridentify and address training needs within the service. Facilitate and deliver appropriate training for staff as required, including refresher training as part of a continuous professional development programme.Ensure all staff operate with appropriate training and supervision for the role and provide regular supervision and performance management for Team LeadersProvide strong leadership to the team and develop and support a strong culture of quality and safety in service delivery.Ensure that the centre is compliant with all standards and be responsible for ensuring the required standards and reporting requirements are maintained and evidenced.Be responsible for managing resources within the Day opportunities programme including managing associated budgets for staffing, overheads etc.Act as Designated Officer, create a zero tolerance to abuse culture and support the organisation with the management of safeguarding as requiredHave overall responsibility for the overall management of all aspects of Quality, Risk, Health and Safety of day attendees and staff and compliance with Health and Safety legislation, ensure reporting and recording of incidents meet the service standards and participate in incident reviews or other investigations.Create a complaints friendly culture ensuring feedback and complaints are responded to, resolved and recorded in line with Cumas Customercare policies and proceduresEnsure there is clear communication with day opportunities staff other Cumas services staff and families and there are appropriate and effective systems in place for engagement and consultation within the day opportunities programmeOrganise, attend, and participate in meetings and service performance reviews and ensure records are maintained as required.Ensure the day opportunities spaces are clean, comfortable, and well maintained.Be responsible for operating and chairing Day Opportunities team staff meetings, and provision of feedback to General ManagerTake part in the on-call system and provide cover when required.This is not an exhaustive list of all duties but is rather a guide to the role, the organisation may add other duties over time.Why Join Us?This is an opportunity to work in an agile, creative, innovative, high-standard service where your skills and values will make a measurable difference every day.
