An established and growing manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance and Capital Expenditure Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing all plant maintenance, utilities, and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong leadership, and a focus on compliance, safety, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage maintenance activities and capital projects, including equipment installations and facility upgrades.Ensure all work meets food safety, hygiene, GMP, and HACCP requirements.Prepare and manage maintenance and CapEx budgets, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resource use.Drive energy efficiency and maintenance strategy improvements to reduce costs and enhance reliability.Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency.Promote a strong safety culture and enforce compliance with all safety protocols (LOTO, machine guarding, etc.).Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, safety, and supply chain) to support business goals.Manage external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.Identify automation opportunities and implement improvements to drive performance and reduce waste.Lead and mentor the maintenance team, offering technical guidance and performance development.Maintain and improve CMMS usage to track performance and manage maintenance schedules.Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for all major capital investments.Ideal Candidate Will Have:A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance and capital project management, ideally in food or FMCG manufacturing.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.Proven track record managing capital projects from concept through to implementation.A solid understanding of regulatory requirements including GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and drive performance.Core Competencies:People leadership and team developmentTechnical troubleshooting and problem-solvingCapital project managementOperational efficiency and continuous improvementBudget and cost controlStrong communication and stakeholder managementBenefits Include:Company pension schemeBike-to-work schemeOn-site parkingSupportive and collaborative work environmentAt Quorum Search Partners we respect your privacy.
