The role of the caretaker is to complete all cleaning and light maintenance duties as listed below: General cleaning and maintenance of surfaces throughout building (schedule of rooms to be cleaned on varied days available separately). Refill hand towel holders, soap dispensers and hand sterilisers. Light laundry duties. Sweep main path into building and playground. Upstairs maintenance: hoover hall, stairs and landing. All skirting boards, radiators and radiator covers cleaned. All light switches, plug sockets, intercom phones cleaned. Fire extinguishers and fire exit signs cleaned. All doors and surrounds cleaned. Coat hooks and boards cleaned. Wall tiles, doors and partitions in the toilets washed. All inside windows washed. Air vents cleaned. Walls in the entrance porch and kitchen washed. Keep stock of cleaning materials. Dispose of rubbish. Putting bins out for collection. General upkeep of garden. Ensure shed and laundry room is kept tidy. Light Maintenance of overall building. Inform management if items are broken. Drains to be cleaned monthly. Gutters to be cleaned twice yearly. Hanging shelves or other items as required. Assembling/moving furniture. Light painting/patch up work. Outside windows washed.
