- Coordinating the maintenance of facilities on a day-to-day basis.
- Report all incidents to Facility Lead.
- To create PO's and arrange delivery of gas from BOC.
- To ensure that gas cylinder stock levels are maintained and to change out empties daily.
- Carry out maintenance duties such as are required e.g. changing light bulbs, fitting of safety equipment, etc.technical problem solvung
- Carry out monthly fire safety equipment audits, logging of results and alert the FL of any issues.
- Completing all items flagged by risk assessment on legionella report such as the weekly flushing of dead legs, temperature logging of both hot and cold temps after 3 mins, etc.
- flag any readings not within the parameters set out in Approved Code of Practice ACOP L8 Legionnaires' disease
- Liaising with staff throughout premises to best meet their facilities needs both in the labs and office area.
- Providing support to the Facilities Lead -Typical duties in this instance would involve dealing with staff members and external service providers and suppliers (e.g. electricians, plumbers, furniture suppliers, maintenance people, Security Company, cleaners, etc.). Vendor management.
- Contractor administration, risk assessment & method statements and Permit to Work.
- Schedule jobs with external sub-contractors.
- Logging of all maintenance visits via PMAC or Asset tiger, uploading of service reports to asset tiger and on the shared drive. A hard copy needs to be kept at the facilities desk for easy reference.
- Ensure the buildings, plant and equipment are inspected and maintenance issues are promptly actioned and reported to management.
- Daily/Weekly walkdowns of the facility plant to catch any issues early and lessen the chances of a major shutdown on the facility.
- Keeping appropriate office site records up to date and accessible at all times.
- Setting up furniture and seating for various events held in APC such as townhalls and innovations.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as may be required in line with business.
- Helping out with the delivery and installation of large lab equipment such as -80 freezers, incubators, laminars, etc
- More than 3 years' experience in cGMP Pharmaceutical Operations is essential.
- More than 3 years' experience in Drug Substance Biologics manufacturing is essential.
- Vaccine manufacturing and Advanced Therapeutics (Cell & Gene Therapy) manufacturing experience is advantageous
- Aseptic operations experience is preferable.
- The role may in time operate on rotating shift position and may also involve some non-scheduled call-in time to respond to plant emergencies etc. and some scheduled call-in time to attend process operations.
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of complex equipment including one or more of electrical, automation and mechanical issues is required.
- Demonstrated ability to use problem solving tools within a team environment such as 5 Whys, DMAIC e.g. Method 1 is desirable.
- Due to the start-up nature of the project there will be an expectation for flexibility and an ability to take on varied tasks at short notice not covered extensively within this job description.

- An ability to work independently, and as a member of a self - managed shift team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and initiative.
- Degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience along with a Technical Qualification (C&G or equivalent)
