- Provision of counselling and support to survivors of mother and baby homes as defined by the mother and baby home commission.
- Support and counselling of clients in preparation for birth family reunion
- Genealogy and birth family searching
- Facilitation of family reunification meetings
- Provision of post reunification support and counselling to families
- Conducting interviews with adults reporting retrospective abuse
- Engaging with persons subject to abuse allegations
- Assessment of any risks involved
- The reporting cases of concern, where appropriate
- A recognised qualification as a Social Worker with CORU registration, or eligible for same
- Some experience working within a similar type of adoption or retrospective service, placement experience will be considered, we welcome applications from new graduates
- Experience working within children and families service would be considered.
- Excellent interviewing, report writing and counselling skills will be required
- Permission to work in Ireland
- Professional approach to work

- Access to a car and full drivers license
