- Lead the delivery of IT projects including system implementations, upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as the central point of coordination between clinical, technical and administrative stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate business and operational requirements into structured project deliverables working with clinical subject matter experts to validate workflows and requirements.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time and quality standards.
- Coordinate system design, configuration, testing and go live activities with relevant SMEs, vendors and internal teams.
- Facilitate workflow analysis sessions with clinical and operational teams to support system adoption and process improvement.
- Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement, governance and reporting including participation in working groups and steering committees.
- Oversee the development and coordination of training, communication and change management activities to support successful system adoption.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and external regulatory requirements including GDPR, HIQA, JCI and NIS2 in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Provide structured project reporting including status updates, risk tracking and post implementation reviews.
- Degree or recognised qualification in healthcare, IT or a related field
- Project management training or certification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Lean) desirable
- Strong experience in project management preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Experience delivering IT or digital transformation projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with clinical systems such as EHRs or patient administration systems desirable but not essential.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including clinical, operational and technical stakeholders.
- Good understanding of hospital operations and workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIQA, JCI and NIS2 desirable.
- Strong project management skills including planning, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to structure and manage workstreams rather than personally owning clinical content.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Confident facilitator who can work with clinical teams without needing to be a clinical expert.
- Proactive and delivery focused with the ability to drive projects forward in a complex environment.
- Collaborative and team oriented with a solution focused mindset.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in project delivery.
