As an Automation Infrastructure Engineer you would be responsible for delivering and maintaining automation-based systems and solutions which provide for flexible, innovative, cost effective, compliant and quality-focused manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:Supporting critical-to-manufacturing systems and ensuring their high availability reducing or eliminating unplanned downtimeDesigning, configuration, programming and qualification of rockwell factorytalk systems (DCS), thinmanager, asset centreUnderstanding of protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTPEnsuring appropriate monitoring, alerting, response to network, system, application issues affecting functionality and availabilityProviding automation technical knowledge, support for troubleshooting, investigations, installations and trainingProviding automation system design for data integrity, stability and integration between different systemsDesigning & delivering end-to-end data solutions to meet our current and future needsFacilitating the smooth transition of projects from development into production environmentOverseeing migration of data from legacy systems to new applicationsActing as a subject matter expert and the technical go-to for historian and data integration solutionsEnsuring compliance and optimization of automation systemsCreating, modifying and maintaining of automation systems & documentation including automation specification documents and SOPsWorking closely with the corporate IT infrastructure team to ensure continued technical alignment.Managing support for manufacturing dependencies and touchpoints with enterprise systemsSupporting the validation of automation systems with QA ValidationDesigning and implementing solutions across automation platforms in line with the site change control proceduresImplementing and reporting of preventative maintenance, patching and upgradesDeveloping plan for system obsolescence, vendor support and upgrade schedulingThis role might be for you if:You are knowledgeable in analytics and data insightsYou are innovative, customer focused, and results drivenYou possess an ability to operate as part of a team in a highly interdependent environmentYou possess organizational skills and project management skillsYou demonstrate an ability to work in a small team setting, owning complex technical projects with an ability to learn new technologies quicklyTo be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
