We are a rapidly growing European Waste-to-Energy (WtE) company with proprietary gasification technology. Our head office is in Ireland, with engineering and project offices in multiple countries. We deliver EPC projects and develop our own assets across Europe, Africa, and other regions.Due to our international expansion, we are seeking a hands-on IT Manager / Head of IT who will design and implement a scalable and secure corporate IT infrastructure across all offices and project sites.Tasks
  • Develop and implement the company’s global IT strategy.
  • Build and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple countries (HQ, engineering office, project sites).
  • Configure and manage corporate networks (SD-WAN, VLAN, VPN, firewalls).
  • Deploy and administer Microsoft 365 / Azure AD.
  • Organize and support secure remote access (VPN, remote desktops, VDI).
  • Manage servers, data storage, and backup systems.
  • Set up and maintain corporate telephony (mobile, VoIP, Teams integration).
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, monitor and respond to incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and OT/SCADA security requirements.
  • Roll out collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, project platforms).
  • Manage external IT providers and vendors.
  • Build and lead an IT support/helpdesk function.
  • Support project-related IT needs (engineering software, secure data exchange, remote commissioning access).
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience
  • Experience in international companies or distributed (multi-country) IT infrastructures.
  • Strong knowledge of networks (SD-WAN, VLAN, VPN, firewalls), Microsoft 365 / Azure AD, and cybersecurity systems.
  • Proven track record in building IT infrastructure from scratch and scaling it.
  • Understanding of OT/SCADA and industrial systems security (a strong plus).
  • Knowledge of international standards: ISO 27001, IEC 62443, GDPR, NIS2.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent English (mandatory), other languages are a plus.
