Senior Project Engineer - Main Contractor - Little Island - CorkOffice/Project Location: Little Island, CorkEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: Site BasedPay: Competitive salary negotiable depending on experience with a comprehensive company benefits packageExperience: 5+years, ideally with buildings, structural steel and cladding projectsOur client is one of Ireland’s leading specialist Energy, Water and Wastewater Design, Build Contractors.They require an experienced Senior Project Engineer to work on a 2 year construction project of a anaerobic digestion plant based in Little Island, CorkCarry out regular design reviews to ensure structural steel, cladding, and building works meet project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.Oversee daily civil and structural activities on site, including supervision of subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring all works are executed in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Manage projects or key elements of projects from inception to completion, including planning, resourcing, scheduling, and cost control.Ensure the safe and efficient erection of structural steel, installation of cladding systems, and completion of associated building works.Implement and enforce quality procedures, conducting inspections of steelwork, cladding, and finishes. Address non-conformities and ensure corrective measures are applied.Ensure strict compliance with health and safety legislation. Carry out regular inspections, promote a safety-first culture, and implement measures to mitigate risks on site.Oversee completion, testing, and final inspections of structural and building elements to ensure handover is in line with client expectations.Liaise with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve technical and site issues.
