We are currently seeking a Senior Highways Project Engineer to join a specialized infrastructure team based anywhere in Ireland. The ideal candidate will hold Chartered Engineer status or be on the path to achieving it, with a strong background in overseeing the delivery of highway, active travel, and/or greenway projects from planning to design phases.Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of various projects related to highways, active travel, and greenways
Design and manage documentation utilizing CAD software, collaborating closely with CAD Technicians
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Engineers, Ecologists, and Scientists
Mentor junior staff within the Infrastructure sector
Prepare technical reports, tenders, and proposals
Attend onsite meetings with clients and professionals
Ensure projects adhere to agreed timescales, quality standards, and budgets
Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance, Health and Safety regulations, and relevant design standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Minimum 7 years of post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering
Chartered Engineer status or in the process of achieving it
Proficiency in design standards and guidelines such as TII, DMURS, NCM, and project appraisal guidelines
Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
Strong communication, management, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, meeting tight deadlines
Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings
Valid Driver's License
