  • To undertake technical production of programme features, news reports, sports reports, adverts, community notices etc. (by editing, mixing, recording, scripting etc.) • To undertake research for additional programmes and features if required • To attend outside events, outside broadcasts, promotions, road shows as required for recording purposes • To fulfill rota responsibilities for all operational aspects of the station in consultation with Manager e.g. loging programmes, uploading, equipment bookings, studio bookings etc. • To ensure that all broadcast output is of high technical quality, and adhere to the terms of the BAI license, ACR programme policy and current broadcasting legislation. • To provide technical support and training to the presenters and service users. • To work with volunteers for voice-over work on ads, jingles and community notices etc. • To contribute and deliver new programme ideas where possible, especially Speech-based packages • To log and report any equipment/technical faults to the Manager • To undertake administrative work in connection with programmes and production. • To ensure that Community notices and Adverts are scripted, edited and recorded satisfactorily. • To archive programmes and speech packages. • To provide assistance to broadcasting personnel • Develop the capacity of volunteers to operate studio(s) independently. • To work closely with Community Development officer in volunteer induction and further training. Management: • To attend Staff meetings and provide weekly report to manager. • To provide studio manager cover as per rota. • To maintain all records and paperwork necessary ie training, logging, technical. • To attend subcommittee meetings relevant to post • To work closely with manager and sub committee in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the project. Training: • To undertake training as necessary • To help develop ACR's training policy for volunteers and new staff • To provide training to new staff and volunteers • To provide training to community groups and target groups. General: • To undertake other duties as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the aims and objectives of ACR • To maintain a pledge of CONFIDENTIALITY regarding information held regarding the business affairs of ACR • To work closely with management on development and implementation of ACR policy. • To work as part of the ACR team
