Our client, a global consulting and engineering group, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work across various railway projects. This role can be based in either Dublin or Cork.Responsibilities
  • Lead all project management and contractual activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project within established timelines, budget constraints, and project specifications.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among the project team, including stakeholders such as the Client, Project contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Execute the responsibilities of the NEC Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of contract administration and construction management on behalf of the client.
  • Proactively and rigorously monitor and manage the project schedule.
  • Evaluate progress payments and early warning notices.
  • Address and resolve all claims and compensation events within the NEC ECC stipulated timelines, providing monthly reports on critical areas.
  • Offer recommendations and expert advice to IÉ on matters related to contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • 12 years of experience as a Project Manager, within rail / rail infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in utilizing NEC 3 or 4 contracts, particularly Option C – target cost contracts, during the post-contract phase.
  • Holds a degree in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, or a related qualification in project management.
  • Ideally possesses NEC4 ECC PM Accreditation.
  • Executes the responsibilities of the NEC Project Manager in alignment with the NEC Conditions of Contract.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, effective negotiation abilities, and exceptional communication capabilities, coupled with commercial acumen and a resilient mindset.
  • Takes the lead in establishing and executing technical and quality compliance standards.
  • Previous hands-on experience of delivering NEC target cost contracts or other target cost contracts.
