- Bachelor's Degree in a technology related field OR equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years professional experience for every 1 year of education
- Minimum of 1+ year professional experience working in large scale networking environments (including internships).
- Excellent design, implementation, and skills combined with a proven documentation methodology.
- Experience in designing and operating large-scale, production networks
- Experience with major routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
- Experience with routing and switching hardware from major vendors including Juniper and Cisco
- In addition to providing top-tier management and support of Amazons vast infrastructure, Engineers are expected to build or enhance tools, develop best practices, refine operational procedure and constantly think pro-actively and with innovation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in wide area networking, BGP and OSPF
- Expertise in information security for industrial control systems
