- Ensuring all sales are recorded accurately and highlighting issues, preparing daily sales.
- Reconciliation of daily cash and credit card receipts highlighting any issues to relevant department.
- Prepares all necessary payments for supplier for approval by the Finance Manager.
- Accounts Payable – reconciliation of creditor statements and dealing with supplier queries.
- Accounts Receivable – invoicing and aged debtors’ periodic review to ensure payments received as per credit terms.
- Month end preparation e.g., accruals, suppliers accounts reconciled to statement etc.
- Preparation and completion of bank reconciliations.
- Monthly reconciliation of BS accounts.
- VAT return preparation and reconciliation.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
- Support the Finance department with day-to-day accounting operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support business initiatives and improve overall financial performance.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, or a relevant university degree in Business (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of financial control processes and reconciliations.
- Required knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Proficiency in using financial systems, particularly Sage or similar accounting software.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
