Site Engineer / Site Agent – Civil Projects
Office Location: Tallaght, South Dublin
Projects: Across Dublin City & County
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: Dependent on experience

Mode: Mixture between Sites and OfficeAbout the RoleOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Site Engineer / Site Agent to join a long-established civil engineering contractor. This role will be based in their office in Tallaght with regular site visits across Dublin. Projects include a mix of water infrastructure, public realm upgrades, and NTA frameworks.Generally the incumbent will be working across several smaller sites, with works usually smaller to medium sized. Great opportunity for a motivated professional to work across multiple civils projects with a reputable team and long-term career progression on offer.Salary & Benefits
  • €57,000 - €73,000 (d.o.e.)

Responsibilities
  • Plan and communicate short-term lookahead programmes
  • Coordinate crews, materials, plant, and TM in line with programme
  • Oversee subcontractors and direct labour on-site
  • Track daily costs and complete daily allocation sheets
  • Monitor safety documentation and HS compliance across all crews
  • Liaise with PM on programme impacts and design issues
  • Perform regular quality and compliance inspections
  • Ensure all operatives are certified and inducted before starting
  • Develop and monitor Risk Assessment Method Statements
  • Review TMP compliance and update safety controls as needed
  • Prepare regular reports on progress, safety, and quality
Requirements
  • 4+ years’ civil site experience – ideally with roads, utilities, or public works (ideally in Ireland/UK)
  • Relevant third-level qualification or strong trade background
  • Full driver’s licence required
  • Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling; ROAR and LUGS preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is advantageous
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
