Description Summary of Role Brindley Healthcare Services Limited, T/A Manor Homecare, is currently seeking Health Care Assistants / Area Healthcare Supervisors to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to share with other staff in meeting the personal care and support needs of service users, in a way that respects the dignity of each individual and promotes their independence. The care and support provided by Health Care Assistants / Area Health Care Supervisors is expected to include assistance that would reasonably be given by members of the service user's family. It does not include tasks that require the training or qualifications of a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities: Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, washing, toileting, and mobility support. Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence and well-being. Support with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry. Assist with rehabilitation exercises and moving clients safely using mobility aids. Accurately document care activities and report any changes in client condition. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control, and fire safety procedures. Conduct regular care supervision and risk assessment visits Support and mentor healthcare assistants in the field Lead by example and promote best practice in care delivery Liaise with Area Managers daily and respond to key client or care events Participate in training, scheduling support, audits, and compliance monitoring Manage KPI reporting, staff performance tracking, and care documentation Cover calls when needed and participate in out-of-hours on-call rota Promote the growth of services within HSE and private sectors Maintain and oversee OneTouch data governance and care journal use Champion a client-first, team-driven culture of care excellence Who We're Looking For: QQI Level 6 or working towards Previous experience as a senior carer, or team lead in home or healthcare Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of safeguarding, dementia care, moving & handling, and risk management Proficient with care systems (e.g. OneTouch) and general IT tools Full Irish driving license and access to your own vehicle Flexible, empathetic, and able to thrive under pressure Key Competencies: Strong communication & team-building skills Calm, dependable, and solution-oriented Knowledgeable in legislation and care standards Passionate about quality and continuous improvement What We Offer: A supportive and collaborative team culture Professional development and career progression Comprehensive training and ongoing learning opportunities Company events, employee assistance programme (EAP), and wellness supports Free parking, TaxSaver, Cycle to Work Scheme & more
