Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Head of Service - Student Advisers within UCD Student Advisers Service.Reporting to the Dean of Students / Registrar's nominee, the successful candidate with be responsible for leading a team of student advisers and associated professional staff; delivering on and contributing to a diverse portfolio of strategic student support work programmes and student initiatives to support the University's strategy.Student Advisers are an integral part of the University's support structure and provides support for all students throughout their university experience, particular assisting with transitions into and within University programmes. The UCD Student Adviser team help students deal with issues, both personal, social and financial, providing prompt support, advice and direction on relevant policies, procedures and services; undertaken whilst maintaining the `in confidence' requirement of the work of the Student Adviser team. UCD Student Adviser management team are located centrally, with a dispersed model of Student Advisers largely located within Colleges with the exception of those with broad portfolios such as the Mature Student Adviser and the Graduate Research Student Adviser. Student Advisers work closely with academic, professional administrative and professional services staff in a collegial endeavour, reaching across all areas of the University to support the best outcomes for students; ensuring the student experience is as valuable and fulfilling as possible.95 Snr Administrative Iii\2013 (2010) (7439) Salary Scale: €84,949 - €119,968 per annumAppointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelinesClosing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 6th of May 2024.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
