- Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
- Review and build a strong supplier base through performance assessments and new proposals
- Stay up to date with new design and manufacturing trends within the industry
- Create and maintain catalogues of material and labour costings
- Prepare and update pricelists for the sales and design team
- Develop a stock management system for efficient monitoring and ordering
- Oversee purchasing of all required materials and supplies based on stock levels and job requirements
- Review supplier invoices to ensure accuracy against agreed quotations
- Implement continuous improvements, including introducing systems/software to enhance efficiency
- Proven experience in procurement within the kitchen, joinery, or fitted furniture industry
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, materials, and components, with the ability to break down costs accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/stock control systems
