WCI Roscommon - Development Worker, Part - Time position, 21 hours per week based at Unit 5, The Old Mill, Main Street, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women's equality and women's well-being.
Employed by the WCI Board of Directors, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI Roscommon and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in community development working within the community sector.
- Minimum of Level 6 qualification in community development or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and administration skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- An understanding of grassroots feminism.
- The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
- The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
- The ability to assist with the planning and the delivery of relevant programmes within WCI Roscommon.
- The ability to network with other community organisations to support women's participation.
- The ability to work as part of a team.

- 25 days annual leave (pro rata).
- 2 additional agency days per annum.
