This is a crucial role in ensuring optimum line efficiency and product quality. The successful candidate will operate with a high level of efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm, ensuring to focus on continuous improvement.Essential duties and responsibilities:Assist in Preventative maintenance tasks on key equipment in the manufacturing process and maintain the critical spare part list for all core equipment items and upcoming PM’s.Assist in the creation of documents and procedures that ensure continued operational excellence throughout the plant(s).Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Engineering Technicians in determining optimum process performance by assisting with AOI, Smart tooling, Production Management System, designing and manufacturing of necessary tooling, and suggestions for design for manufacturing (DFM).Ensure that data integrity functions such as program and PD back-ups are completed regularly on all lines in assigned plant(s).Document key MET process and provide guidance, assistance and / or training to the Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.Log maintenance performed on machines in database.Encourage open communication and exchange of information within the M.E. department and between the various support groups.Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by management.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.Lead Process and Equipment Evaluation aligned to the needs of Site as assigned by the ME Manager.Demonstrated Hands-on experience in the required procesEssential hiring criteria:Minimum Leaving Certificate required or equivalent. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.Attained or pursuing an NFQ Higher Certificate (Level 6) in either Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic, Aircraft Systems, Process Technology, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Maths, or completed a Trades Apprenticeship.
