Permanent/full timeKey Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plans
  • Lead the initial induction of new staff and support ongoing training and professional development
  • Promote and encourage innovative practices in care delivery
  • Ensure full implementation and adherence to company policies, procedures, and HIQA standards
  • Facilitate regular communication meetings with all clinical staff to support engagement and quality care
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external community agencies, promoting community involvement and resident participation in local activities
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home’s visibility and reputation within the local community
  • Implement and monitor the Company Health & Safety Policy to safeguard staff, residents, and visitors
  • Coordinate regular fire training sessions and ensure effective evacuation procedures are in place
  • Oversee and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home
  • Ensure a proactive preventative maintenance programme is implemented and maintained
  • Participate in recruitment processes, including interviewing and selection of staff
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis to support workforce development
  • Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required
  • Ensure clinical practices within the Home meet all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience within the last 6 years, specifically in care of the older person
  • Post-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or a related discipline
  • Proven track record in clinical management within a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, fostering a positive team culture
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond to the evolving needs of the organisation
