- Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plans
- Lead the initial induction of new staff and support ongoing training and professional development
- Promote and encourage innovative practices in care delivery
- Ensure full implementation and adherence to company policies, procedures, and HIQA standards
- Facilitate regular communication meetings with all clinical staff to support engagement and quality care
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external community agencies, promoting community involvement and resident participation in local activities
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home’s visibility and reputation within the local community
- Implement and monitor the Company Health & Safety Policy to safeguard staff, residents, and visitors
- Coordinate regular fire training sessions and ensure effective evacuation procedures are in place
- Oversee and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home
- Ensure a proactive preventative maintenance programme is implemented and maintained
- Participate in recruitment processes, including interviewing and selection of staff
- Conduct regular training needs analysis to support workforce development
- Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required
- Ensure clinical practices within the Home meet all relevant regulations and standards.
- Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience within the last 6 years, specifically in care of the older person
- Post-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or a related discipline
- Proven track record in clinical management within a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, fostering a positive team culture
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond to the evolving needs of the organisation
