We help homeowners and businesses and across Ireland harness the power of the sun to reduce energy costs and carbon footprints.Failte Solar is currently recruiting a Finance Officer to join our growing and experienced Finance team and play and part an important part in a sustainable energy future.The role is based in Shannon and has an immediate start (onsite with some remote working possible).*** This role has a highly competitive salary together with an annual bonus based on key performance indicators with immediate start ***PURPOSE OF THE ROLEGeneral finance - Parent company
  • Support the development of the yearly budget for the Group
  • Support the periodic preparation of a reporting pack including a review of actual v budget performance and other KPI's.
  • Preparation and update of cash flow projections for the business
  • Preparation of Supplier and customer rebates calculations
  • Preparation and posting of various month end journals
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other elements of month end routine
  • Review of weekly and monthly payroll journals
  • Support base cost/overheads review each month
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts for all entities withing Failte Solar Group
  • Manage allocated Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Support the internal and external audit process
  • Business analysis / intelligence for operations
  • Other activities as typically required in the finance department.
Day to day financial management UK and EU subsidiaries (with support from Group financial controller)
  • Manage compliance and accounting requirements for dormant / low activity subsidiaries
  • Manage calculations and posting of intercompany transactions, including intercompany billing
  • Maintaining FX Register and I/C reconciliations
  • Manage preparation of the monthly consolidated Contribution P&L and consolidated Financial Statements
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Maintaining company compliance across the group
  • Roll out of policies and procedures to recently established subsidiaries
Overall we are looking for an experienced qualified accountant with attention to detail and works well in a team environment.DO YOU HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS?Essential
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
  • Strong Experience in similar roles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Desirable
  • 5+ years post qualification experience in similar role
  • Experience of Power Generation Industry, Construction & Engineering
  • Working knowledge of SOX
