Principal Intelligent Automation and AIOps Software Development Engineer
Workday
- Dublin
- Permanent
- Full-time
- To enhance Workday’s automation investments by creating platforms and services that enable engineers the ability to compose, execute, schedule, and track highly repetitive automation and orchestration tasks through a consistent, intuitive, and scalable self-service framework.
- Provide cost optimization by improving operational efficiency and business agility through automation
- Provide risk mitigation by converting error prone human driven manual tasks into data, event, or response initiated repeatable automation as code at scale
- NOTE: The following are examples of specific technical items that can be swapped with equivalent technologies. The interviewer will be able to distinguish between related technologies and be able to determine how the candidates technical experience matches with the necessary technical skills to perform the job.
- IaaS technology – AWS/Azure/GCP – Full Understanding and ability to construct a complete cloud infrastructure composed of compute, storage (object/block), network, database, interfacing services, security rules, containers, and container management technology (CNCF). Candidate should have familiarity with how to perform build automation and provisioning tasks through terraform, puppet/chef/ansible, helm, k8s etc.
- Core Coding Experience – Highly proficient in at least one of the following functional languages: Ruby, Go, C, Java, or Python. Ability to transfer tacit knowledge of one language to another within a reasonable period. Reference-able work on Opensource projects within GitHub are a plus.
- Data Stream and Steam Manipulation – Experience and solid background in Streaming technologies including but not limited to Kafka Streams, RMQ, NATS Streaming etc. Understanding of how to construct and interact with stream processors at scale.
- Architecture type experience – Strong familiarity with various architecture types from SOA, MSA, Monolithic. Ability to design, code, contribute to applications that require high degrees of availability, fault tolerance, and can provide spanned coverage on unreliable infrastructures. (including compute and network)
- Agile Methodologies – Have familiarity with how to work and interact within an Agile team.
