Senior Engineer (Galway)

• Lead the on-site Health and Safety agenda, ensuring all operations meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Actively review design drawings, manage RFIs, and maintain close collaboration with the design team to resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination, testing and commissioning timelines, and drive timely project delivery.
• Maintain rigorous quality control procedures, champion internal QA systems, and ensure compliance with all statutory regulations.
• Implement and monitor DMS systems and BCAR compliance, managing benchmarks and inspection processes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including utility providers and local authorities.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and support the PM in early stakeholder engagement.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the site engineering team, managing performance and development.
• Coordinate site meetings, oversee temporary works, and ensure seamless integration of subcontractor work packages.

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (HETAC Level 8) with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Proven ability to meet demanding programme and quality standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and assuming responsibility for key tasks.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
