- Supervise the daily running of the leisure club, pool, and fitness areas, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Support and motivate the leisure team, leading by example in guest service, professionalism, and presentation.
- Oversee staff rotas, shift coverage, and daily task allocations in coordination with the Spa & Leisure Manager.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are maintained.
- Ensure all pool and gym areas meet health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including water testing and maintenance checks.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests and members using the leisure facilities.
- Oversee reception duties including guest check-in/out, class bookings, membership administration, and retail transactions.
- Ensure guest feedback is collected and acted upon to continuously improve the leisure offering.
- Promote The Grace’s wellness services, spa treatments, memberships, and events to enhance the guest journey.
- Support the recruitment, induction, and training of leisure staff.
- Lead regular team briefings and ensure consistent communication across the department.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning, high standards, and accountability.
- Ensure all operations comply with current safety and legislative requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date certification such as first aid, and pool plant certifications.
- Conduct and document regular risk assessments and emergency procedures.
- Ensure all staff are trained in emergency action plans and response protocols.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
- Complete and maintain accurate operational records, including water and facilities testing, accident reports, and daily checklists.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards, risk assessments, and pool water testing procedures.
- Competent in administrative duties, rota planning, and use of leisure management systems.
- Professional, proactive, and flexible approach with a strong attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for wellness, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Recognised qualifications in Leisure Management, Pool Lifeguarding (RLSS), First Aid, and Pool Plant Operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a leisure, spa, or wellness facility, ideally in a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort environment.
- Proven track record of managing day-to-day leisure operations, including pool, gym, and member services.
- Hands-on experience with pool plant operations, water testing, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
