Job DescriptionMy Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an Actuarial Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an Actuarial Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be hybrid working. The Actuarial Analyst will work closely and support the actuarial team, as well as the Risk, Finance and Operations team. The Actuarial Analyst will make a significant contribution to the reserving & modelling strategy with a main focus on Solvency II, MCEV & ORSA reporting.Job Responsibilities
  • Solvency II Compliance & Financial Stability
  • Conduct rigorous calculations of technical provisions and solvency capital requirements, ensuring our business remains aligned with Solvency II mandates. Your analytical skills will be essential in safeguarding our financial stability and regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze and interpret actuarial results to generate vital management information. Your insights will be instrumental in guiding capital management decisions and enriching ORSA exercises, thereby influencing our strategic direction.
  • Value Reporting & Model Development
  • Regularly produce and report on quarterly embedded value results, contributing to comprehensive group reporting. Develop and refine DCS and Prophet models for both new and existing product lines, enhancing our forecasting accuracy and product viability.
  • Assumption Management
  • Collaborate on setting and revising assumptions for pricing and reserving processes. Your precision in this area will directly impact our product competitiveness and financial provisioning.
  • Asset-Liability Oversight
  • Oversee asset-liability matching, ensuring our investment strategies are aligned with our liability profiles. Communicate findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee, facilitating informed and strategic investment decisions
  • Regulatory Reporting & Documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of critical Solvency II reports, including ORSA, SFCR, RSR, and ARTP, maintaining transparency and compliance. Ensure all procedures and documentation are up-to-date, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Engage with various departments to oversee the actuarial control cycle comprehensively. This involves reviewing, analyzing, and recommending modifications to data, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure robust risk management and informed decision-making.
  • Professional Development
  • Maintain your professional standing and membership in the actuarial community, staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes. Your ongoing professional development will contribute to our team’s expertise and the strategic guidance you provide.
Experience Required
  • A min of 2 years experience working within an Actuarial team
  • Knowledge of Creditor Protection Insurance products and processes.
  • Strong MS Office actuarial modelling software skills. (Prophet & DCS experience would be an advantage)
  • Experience working within a regulatory framework is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to develop solutions.
  • Ability to apply actuarial techniques to practical business situations.
  • Desire to build and maintain internal and external business relationships.
