Van Driver / Road Maintenance Operative

- Drive company vehicle safely to and from worksites and depots
- Assist with road maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, litter picking, cleaning signage, hedge trimming, and other upkeep duties along road networks
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely (training provided)
- Carry out general site maintenance and ensure work areas are safe and tidy
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines
- Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required
- Support depot operations and perform ad hoc duties as needed
- Full B driving licence (6+ months' driving experience desirable, but full training and support provided)
- No prior road maintenance or landscaping experience required - full training will be given
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, with good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts when required
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Standard shifts:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 15:30
- Friday: 06:00 - 14:30
- Availability for on-call duties outside of normal hours is required
- €15.50 per hour base rate
- Night Shift Premium (1.3x): €20.15
- Overtime (1.5x after 40 hrs): €23.25
- Emergency On-Call (1.75x): €27.12
- Sunday/Bank Holiday (2x): €31
- Daily subsistence allowance: €8.28 (tax-free)
- Weekly on-call allowance: €190
