This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced lawyers and litigators, providing legal support across the business.In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload, focusing on risk-related insurance litigation. Your responsibilities will include providing legal advice, handling litigation and pre-litigation matters, attending court proceedings and instructing counsel. You will also contribute to strategic projects and legal team initiatives.Key responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of litigation files.
  • Provide legal advice on litigation and pre-litigation matters.
  • Handle discoveries, mediations, settlements and court appearances.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs and other court documents.
  • Support strategic projects to enhance litigation functions.
  • Engage with business partners across the organisation and participate in team meetings.
The ideal person:
  • Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with at least 4 years’ PQE in litigation (insurance defence preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent drafting and legal reasoning abilities.
  • Solid understanding of court procedures.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in legal and document management software.
