- Collaborating closely with the estimation team to review and validate Electrical cost estimates for each project.
- Managing cost control measures, identifying potential commercial risks, and promptly reporting them to management.
- Conducting cost analysis and value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitoring and tracking project costs, including variations, change orders, and progress payments, both upstream and downstream.
- Collaborating with the estimation/BIM team to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and bills of quantities for Electrical systems and installations in each project.
- Reviewing electrical drawings and specification revisions to ensure any changes are identified.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess work progress, validate quantities, and address any discrepancies.
- Evaluating subcontractor claims and preparing reports on quantities, rates, and payment applications.
- Administering the contract for each project in collaboration with the project team, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Reviewing and analyzing contractual agreements, identifying key contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
- Managing the contractual correspondence, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution, in coordination with the project team.
- Collaborating with the legal/compliance team to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining and implementing systems for tracking labor resources and performance on Electrical works for each project.
- Monitoring labor productivity, efficiency, and performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to gather labor-related data and analyze productivity trends.
- Preparing reports on labor S/E, productivity, and performance indicators for each project individually.
- Generating regular cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections for Electrical works.
- Maintaining accurate records of all Electrical cost-related documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Preparing and presenting cost reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Assisting in the preparation of final accounts and settlement of claims.
- Essential third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics or a related field
- Experience as an Electrical QS on large-scale construction projects
- Proficiency in Electrical cost control, estimation, and quantity surveying techniques
- Strong command of relevant QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Countfire, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards related to Electrical works.
